Nature and Scope: The successful candidate will report to the Board of Directors of SIMCU Ltd and administratively to the General Manager. He/She will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all procurement and supplies activities of the Union in line with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare the annual procurement plan of the Union.
- Prepare procurement entries in accordance with approved tenders.
- Establish requirements for various goods of the Union and maintain ledgers and related records.
- Conduct negotiations for contracts with suppliers and vendors.
- Identify goods requirements and initiate purchase orders.
- Request approval for procurement of identified requirements.
- Process payments to suppliers in accordance with the Union’s payment terms and conditions.
- Coordinate and prepare bidding documents to ensure fair and transparent tendering processes.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, inspect them upon receipt, and ensure proper storage.
- Recommend measures and procedures to ensure all procurement-related contracts and activities comply with established rules and regulations.
- Ensure all records related to the procurement of goods and services are properly organized and maintained.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor, including custody and management of office assets and supplies.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supplies Management.
- Professional certificate and accreditation in procurement and supplies.
- Must be registered with the Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board (PSPTB).
- Minimum of two (2) years working experience in procurement and supplies management.
