Job Summary

Ifakara Health Institute through CARECHAIN – NCD Project is seeking Assistant Field Officer. The Assistant Field Officer will work in collaboration with the existing team within the clinical research platform of Heart and Lung Clinic, CDCI, Emergency department, and IMC-SFRH in the implementation of the CARECHAIN – NCD project in Kilombero valley and Bagamoyo District. Responsibilities

  • Provide health education to individual patient, group of people, in mass media and during community outreach events.
  • Participate in quantitative and qualitative data collection in studies conducted at Heart and Lung Clinic.
  • Tracking of patients who do not come for their follow up visit in collaboration with the community health workers.
  • Be ready to work on any other relevant duties allocated by the project principal investigator/ project leader.
  • Provide health education and counselling services to patients with Non-communicable diseases at the different facilities in Kilombero valley and Bagamoyo District.

Qualification Required:

  • Holder of Diploma in community development, social work or any other related field with experience in quantitative data collection.
  • Competent and certified on good clinical practice (GCP).

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 1-year experience in providing health education and counseling to patients with Non-communicable diseases

Prefered Language:

Fluent in both Swahili and English.
